Hours: 22.5 hours

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: starting from £20,900 FTE (actual salary £12,540)

What is a Healthcare Assistant?

Putting client-centred care into practice requires the backing of the whole organisation, we are looking for a passionate and committed Healthcare Assistant to join our team within our Brighton clinic.

Supporting within our Nurse led environment, we have well-established protocols and support systems that reinforce a values-driven organisational culture, with a focus on care and leaving no one behind.

As a Healthcare Assistant you will be provided with bespoke training, tailored to your clinical experience to equip you in assisting with safe and effective abortion care to our clients. Previous experience of working within sexual and reproductive health is not a requisite of this role.

Working within our main and satellite clinic you will be joining a team of both clinical and non-clinical colleagues who empower our clients to make reproductive choices that are right for them.

To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collectively within a team of both clinicians and non-clinicians
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for supporting our diverse client population
  • Excellent record keeping, ability to archive and process data
  • Ability to prioritise workloads accordingly and work from your own initiative
  • Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment, respecting and collaborating with all individuals equally, and with a commitment to overcome bias and prejudice
  • Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with people of all levels
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to other centres with reasonable notice
  • Previous HCA experience (desirable)
