Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Kettering General Hospital's new Urology Department. This department is expected to open in early October 2023, so successful candidates would be expected to start preparatory training in September.
To assist and support the delivery of quality care and to contribute to the effective running of the Department by undertaking tasks that directly support the needs of the patient and assists their journey through the urology outpatient pathwayTowork under the supervision of registered staff, communicating and documenting as appropriate and working with other members of the multidisciplinary team in a professional manner.
HCAs will work as part of the urology outpatient team to support and facilitate outpatient services and clinicsby performing and recording routine vital signs and other observations as required. Other key skills for development are ECG recording, bladder scanning, flows andsupporting staff duringclinicsand when performing diagnostic procedures.
A key component is chaperoning, providing both physical and emotional support to the patient through the process /pathway. Administration duties may also be required to ensure that patient records are available when needed, stored appropriately, organised prior toclinicand safely dispatched to the required destination after each clinic session

Monday to Friday 8am till 18.00 or as service need requires
