We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, friendly and efficient Healthcare Assistants to join the integrated sexual health service.

Previous contraception/sexual health experience is not essential but would be advantageous.

Typically you will be based in Chesterfield however there is some expectation to travel to other clinics in North Derbyshire so access to your own transport is preferred, travel expenses/mileage will be paid if needed

The clinic can be very busy but we expect everyone to work as a team to give the best service to patients and to maintain our high standards.

We have vacancies for full-time or part-time positions.

You would be expected to work potentially over 5 days Mon-Fri (or 2-3 if part time) and also working oneSaturday morning until lunchtime per month.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

The main aspects of the role involve chaperoning the doctors and nurses and taking bloods. Supporting patients during their appointments and aftercare if needed.

All the relevant training will be provided, either in-house or through training courses.
