Job description
Cygnet Healthcare is looking for Healthcare Assistants (HCA) / Care Assistants to join our team working at Tupwood Nursing Home. If you have previously worked or are currently working as a care assistant, healthcare assistant, ward assistant or support worker looking for a new opportunity or your first role within healthcare to help support residents with learning difficulties within a care home setting as part of the NHS partnership.
Tupwood Gate Nursing Home provides support to a variety of residents over the age of 50 who may have a diagnosis of dementia, Alzheimer’s, post-operative support and end-of-life care.
Your role at Tupwood Nursing Home:
- Working both days (08:00 am to 08:00 pm) and nights (08:00 pm to 08:00 am)
- Working two weekends a month
- Supporting residents with day-to-day activities
- Assisting residents with washing, and dressing whilst promoting independence and choice
- Help with maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Monitoring of residents and reporting concerns to senior team members or managers

What you will need:
- Previous care experience working with ever a nursing home or community setting (Desirable)
- Positive Attitude and Friendly Approach (Essential)
- Strong Communication Skills (Essential)
- Able to work as part of a team or individually (Essential)
