We have recently gained a new package of care bringing many fresh and exciting opportunities to join our team in St Helens.
We are looking for compassionate and committed Healthcare Assistants in St Helens, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality two-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in his own home.
Meet our service user
Our new service user is a 43-year-old male, who lives at home is his own adapted bungalow in St Helens. He is looking for his care team to be confident, chatty, and equally match his personality.
Social interaction and engagement in the local community are part of his everyday life, as he is a big Warrington Wolves fan and likes to go and watch them at their home games. As well as this he is eager to get out more in the community with his care team as his social life very important to him.
When at home he enjoys playing games on his I – Gaze and spending time with his dog. We are looking for someone who is pet friendly as he does have a very friendly British Bulldog who he spends time.
He particularly likes watching all types of sports and is ideally looking for his care team to be able to engage in conversations surrounding them.
Building trust and providing emotional support is a big part of this role. You will be a compassionate listener, lending an empathetic ear offering encouragement and positivity when needed.
As well as supporting with his social interactions you will be there to provide emotional support, companionship, and support with his personal and clinical needs.
It would be advantageous if you have a Drivers Licence, however the package is a 2:1 package so this is not a requirement
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
Desirable Experience
- Spinal Cord Injury Knowledge
- Drivers Licence
- Tracheostomy Care
We have the following shifts available;
- Full Time Days
- 8am – 4pm, 4pm – 10pm
- Part time Nights
- 10pm – 8am
Take a look at our payrates
Weekdays £13.00 per hour (£104 approx. per 8 shift)
Weeknights £13.50 per hour (£135 approx. per 10 shift)
Weekends £14.00 per hour (£140 approx. per 10 shift)
Bank Holiday £16.00 per hour (£128 approx. per 8 shift)
