Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support an adult male with his complex care needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user is a gentleman in his early 40s, who requires assistance throughout the day and night on a 2:1 basis.
He already has a well-established care team in place and is now looking for someone who is reliable and experienced to join them in Darlington.
You will be supporting him with his care and social needs, which may include but are not limited to carrying out personal care, moving, repositioning and social activities.
Our service user is a big part of his community and is currently going through the process of campaigning to become a local councillor.
He really enjoys volunteering as a bereavement councillor and works from home but sometimes pops to the local office. To relax he likes to listen to music and watch films. He has good relationship with his colleagues, family and friends.
Having previous complex care experience is desirable, however not essential as Apollo Home Healthcare offer enhanced training to help develop your current skill set.
Our candidates will need a UK Drivers Licence to be able to drive our services users adapted vehicle
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
- UK Drivers Licence
Desirable Experience
- Tracheostomy Care
- Ventilation Management
- Spinal Injury Awareness
- Oral suctioning
- Physiotherapy
We have the following shifts available;
- Part Time- 22-24 hours per week
- Days and Nights
- 11/12 hour shifts
- Mixture of shifts
Please note that training will be provided locally Take a look at our payrates:
Weekdays £11.50 per hour Approx. £138 per 12-hour shift
Weeknights £12.00 per hour Approx. £144 per 12-hour shift
Weekends £12.50 per hour Approx. £150 per 12- hour shifts
Bank Holiday £13.50 per hour Approx. £162 per 12- hour shift
