Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support an young man with complex care needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user is a young adult who lives at home with his family in Birmingham.
He is visually impaired, non-verbal and communicates his emotions via facial expressions. He can recognise people’s voices and becomes familiar with his staff over time.
His care team are with him throughout the day and night to support his personal and clinical care needs, he is completely dependent on his team and family to deliver all aspects of his care.
He particularly likes comforting interaction from his care team, he enjoys books being read to him, listening to music, sensory activities, and gentle reassurance.
Due to our service users needs we require carers who have experience working with children or adults who have tracheostomy’s and supported with tracheostomy care, changes, and any emergency changes.
We offer full comprehensive training to support with all clinical needs to enhance and develop your invaluable care skills.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
- Tracheostomy Care
Desirable Experience
- Epilepsy Care / Seizure Management
- Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
- Oral Suction
- Nebuliser Care
We have the following shifts available;
- Full Time / Part Time
- Days- 7am – 4.30pm
- Nights- 9pm-8am
- 2 - 5 shifts per week

Weekdays : £12.00 per hour (£114 approx. per shift)
Weeknights : £13.00 per hour(£143 approx. per shift)
Saturday : £13.00 per hour(£143 approx. per shift)
Sunday : £13.00 per hour (£143 approx. per shift)
Bank Holiday : £14.50 per hour(£159.50 approx. per shift)
