Phlebotomist/Health Care Assistant
Alchester Medical Group runs two GP Surgeries in Bicester, Victoria House Surgery and Langford Medical Practice. This role will be mainly based at Victoria House but flexibility to work across all sites will be required.
We have 21,500 patients looked after by 13 GPs, 5 nurses and 3 HCA’s. We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and positive Health Care Assistant/Phlebotomist with great people skills, to enhance our existing nursing team.
You will be a skilled Phlebotomist. Extended skills are a real plus but not essential. Duties can include health checks, ECG recordings, urinalysis testing, assisting nurses and GP’s with minor procedures and some administrative responsibilities. There will be opportunities for skills development through training and support provided.
Full training on our system (EMIS) will be given but experience in using similar systems is desirable.
We put patient care at the centre of all we do and the successful applicant will have a skill set that includes strong organisational and communication abilities.
There will be a requirement to support the nursing team with flexibility. You will be able to work as part of a team and individually with equal skill. You must possess a desire to go the extra mile in support of our mission to provide outstanding patient care.
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hrs per week.
