Available Job Today Healthcare Assistant /Admin- Outpatients
Location – The Wellington Hospital / Platinum Medical Centre, 15-17 Lodge Rd, St John's Wood, London NW8 7JA
Hours: This role is a 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday and the service is covered between 8am – 8pm based on internal rotation.

Job Description
As the Healthcare Assistant under the direction of the registered nurse, you will carry out observations, investigations and basic treatments as required. You will also oversee chaperoning of patients and assisting medical staff with day to day duties.
As OPD Admin, you will be overseeing clinic planning and room allocations. You are expected to be excellent in both written and verbal communication.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Roles and responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
- Ordering and maintaining stock
- Chaperoning consultants
- Chaperoning radiologist and assisting with breast biopsies in the ultrasound room
- Supporting administrative functions
- Preparing clinics
- Cleaning and daily checklists for department
- Supporting departmental audit
Skills & Experience
- Phlebotomy – desirable but not essential
- Previous Healthcare Assistant experience within a hospital setting is essential
- NVQ in Health and Social Care is desirable
