Health & Social Care & Early Years Teacher
Job type- Part time, FTC until 31.08.2024
Salary- £23,976 to £33,815 pro rata
Hours- 18.5 hours per week (2.5 days a week)

Who are we looking for?
We are in search of an inspirational Health & Social Care Teacher to join us at our college to teach and assess our students and to support our students, ensuring that the best performance and outcomes can be achieved by students and by the college. This role will require you to deliver part of the Gateway Level 1 /Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care to full time study programme learners. studying on the Care Level 2. We also deliver Entry level 3/Level 1 Gateway Health and Social Care to 14-16 year old's that come in from schools.
Delivery on BTEC Children's Play, Learning and Development at Level 3. Both courses are delivered alongside another teacher
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To be flexible in supporting the enrolment of students on to courses as directed by the Faculty Manager.
- The ability to teach learning across a range of courses as appropriate offered by the Faculty.
- The ability to use information technology to benefit the teaching and learning experience of students at all levels.
- To ensure that students are taught effectively and encouraged to succeed, using appropriate assessment techniques.
- To act as a personal tutor as required.
- To be flexible in supporting Open Days, Taster Days, Parent’s Evening and Results Day as directed by the Faculty Manager.
The successful candidate will need to be up to date on industry standard, ideally have a teaching qualification (although this can be undertaken) and again ideally have an assessor and IQA qualification (or a willingness to learn).
Please note: The role has the potential to become permanent the following academic year for the right candidate and could increase in hours dependent on learner numbers.
College hours are 8.30 am - 4.30 pm except on Wednesday evenings where the college is open until 9 pm.
