- Experience with common pharmaceutical materials and equipment is an advantage.
- Flexible and responsive to support routine and non-routine requests as part of a team.
- Motivated to learn and develop their skills.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of a growing company of 170+ people you will be working as part of the facilities and lab support team to ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained at a high level across the business. Working with teams across the business, you would be working as part of an established team to ensure Health & Safety procedures are delivered to a high standard as well as enabling the continuing growth and safe operation of the business. For the right candidate, the role can develop to include direct input into the continuous improvement and development of Health & Safety processes.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents and work with relevant staff to ensure these are resolved in line with company targets.
- Prepare and maintain records relating to safety, health, and environmental matters.
- Perform risk assessment for new processes and materials being established in the laboratory.
- Deliver site inductions, check method statements and risk assessments, and carry out contractor monitoring.
- Get involved with the general maintenance of relevant facility infrastructure.
- Help ensure HSE training is kept up to date for all staff, including working with external training providers.
