About the role
Sense are looking for a dynamic, solution focused Health & Safety Manager to join our established Quality and Compliance Team at TouchBase Pears located in Selly Oak, Birmingham.
This is a Permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week flexibly from Monday-Friday on a hybrid working pattern. As a Health & Safety Manager, you will receive £45,000 per annum.
In this role, you will be expected to lead the organisation on Health and Safety requirements and initiatives providing legal and technical advice to Directors, Managers, and frontline services across our Operational, Charity and Trading directorates. This role covers multiple sites across Northern Ireland, England and Wales and will require occasional travel.
You will be developing and maintaining the Organisations Safety Management System, ensuring that any changes to statutory obligations are reflected in Policy and Procedure and compliance with UK legislation is achieved. You will be working alongside our central Quality team to promote policy into practice, engaging with all Sense staff and stakeholders and supporting them to understand their role and responsibilities within health and safety across sense. Key Skills and Experience:
Provide expert legal and technical advice on all Health & Safety matters across the organisation, if necessary, by visiting the premises to understand the issues and develop local solutions.
Successful track record of change management, including negotiation and persuading to achieve expected outcomes.
In depth knowledge of Health & Safety law and practice.
NEBOSH Diploma or Degree with relevant post-graduate Health & Safety qualifications.
At least three years post experience in a Health and Safety practitioner role within depth knowledge of Health & Safety law and practice.
