Here at Graham & Brown, we are looking for an enthusiastic Health & Safety Manager to join the team at our Blackburn and Burnley sites. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £41,204 to £51,505 per annum, plus a great range of benefits.

As our Health & Safety Manager, you will manage and develop all safety, health, environment, & quality (systems) requirements across a multi-site organisation.
Our Health & Safety Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Providing competent, technical, and practical health and safety advice and guidance to ensure all legal and other requirements are continually met
- Preparing and communicating regular update reports for the exec team, as well as provide regular updates to the wider organisation
- Developing, maintaining, and continually improving a comprehensive health and safety management system in accordance with relevant legislation and standards
- Developing, maintaining, and continually improving management certifications in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements
- Scheduling and managing an internal audit program against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and PEFC requirements
- Scheduling, managing, and chairing the management review process
- Scheduling and chairing regular health and safety committee meetings
- Communicating, preparing, and organising for regular third-party audits
Experience and skills required by our Health & Safety Manager:
- Relevant in HSE, NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Member of IOSH (or working towards).
- Health and safety management experience within a manufacturing, multi-site environment.
- Experience of identifying, conducting, communicating, and reviewing various risk assessment types (general, CoSHH, fire, DSE, PUWER, manual handling etc).
- Knowledge of working within ISO frameworks (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 trained auditor
Additional Interests and Knowledge
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferable.
- CMIOSH preferable.
- Knowledge of FSC and PEFC frameworks preferable.
- Knowledge of UK/EU timber regulations preferable.
