Job description
An exciting position has arisen for a Health Data Scientist, to work with diverse types of imaging data, addressing key clinical challenges in understanding of osteoarthritis progression. You will join a multi-disciplinary team employing quantitative approaches to novel biomedical problems at the Big Data Institute, Nuffield Department of Medicine.
Under the direction of Professor Thomas Nichols, and line management of Associate Professor Bartlomiej Papiez, you will work on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and medical image analysis methods and their application for monitoring and assessment of osteoarthritis (OA) progression using longitudinal imaging data (Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and radiographs). You will provide statistical analysis plans for studies and undertake day to day planning of work. Similarly, you will be conducting detailed analysis of datasets, check validate and clean data.
It is essential that you hold a degree or equivalent in life sciences, engineering, mathematics or computational. You will have experience in programming (with python) for imaging data processing. Having excellent organisational and prioritisation skills is essential, and you will have good written and oral communication skills including ability to present complex information in a concise and clear manner to people from different backgrounds.
