Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to break into the world of Health Content. As our Health Content Assistant Editor, you will have a fantastic chance to develop your writing skills, while supporting our friendly and hard-working Health Content Team.

Reporting to the Digital Delivery Manager – Health Content - you will spend most of your time (80%) providing vital administrative support to our team of established health editors. From processing invoices, to responding to team mailbox enquiries and updating planning spreadsheets, you'll work closely with the Senior Health Content Editor and Digital Delivery Manager, to ensure our health content production processes run smoothly. These administration tasks are the foundations that the team is built on and play an important role in helping us to achieve our PIF TICK accreditation as providers of trusted and quality health information.

You will also be given the opportunity to develop your editorial skills for the remaining 20% of your time. Learning how we produce high-quality health content. That could mean writing, editing and proofreading online health information in a range of content formats, such as infographics, videos, and podcasts.

What you’ll do:

  • Financial administration, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices.
  • Manage and update the health content team’s content asset trackers (CAT and BAT), including fixing formulas, retiring and adding assets.
  • Monitoring the Health Content Team email mailbox, triaging and responding to enquiries.
  • Collaborate with the SEO team to create SEO recommendation documents for editors to inform our content information needs, including logging and coordinating user feedback.
  • Update content planning spreadsheets and produce status reports (working closely with the Senior Health Content Editor).
  • Coordinate content reviews by Bupa GPs and others expert medical reviewers.
  • Maintain and update CAT-related training guides.
  • General administrative tasks, including managing the Health Content Team inbox and supporting the team with ad hoc requests.
  • Support the team with and upskill in content production and management.

What you’ll bring:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint including creating & maintaining formulas, managing basic data sets and dashboards.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills: ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A high standard of written and numerical skills.
  • Highly organised with a meticulous eye for detail, collaborative, with good communication and relationship-building skills.
  • An interest in digital content and an appreciation of the importance of high-quality health information
