We have an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join our expanding Health Centre team at Clifton College.

The post holder will be a registered nurse with experience in paediatrics and/or adult care or a qualified School Nurse with a minimum of 2 years clinical practice. You will be required to assess and treat pupils between the ages of 3-18 years, working in partnership with parents, school personnel, school doctors, sport medics, counsellors, pastoral leads, and other appropriate agencies to carry out Health Surveillance, health promotion, and relevant public health initiatives. You will use research based practice to plan, deliver and evaluate care and treatment for pupils in the school and houses.

Reporting to the Health Centre Manager, the Health Centre Nurse will be responsible for delivery the following:
Provide a clinically effective, high quality of nursing care and health education for our pupils, ensuring an excellent standard of welfare is maintained at all times, as per the National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools (NMS).
Providing a caring and efficient medical service for all pupils, including occasional assistance at pitch-side to cover sport matches
Ensure up to date medical information and medication for all pupils, including but not limited to; asthma and allergies
Liaise with parents and doctors to ensure health care plans are accurate and up to date
Play an integral role in promoting the health and wellbeing of all pupils in the school, using health promotion initiatives recommended by the NHS and DfE.
Provide on-call cover out of the Health Centre opening hours to support and advise boarding house staff on the care of pupils who become unwell out of hours.
