Job description
We are currently looking for a Health Care Support Worker to join our dedicated team on our busy ward.
We are a 23 bedded cardiac ward specialising in looking after patients with cardiac conditions such as: acute coronary syndrome, heart arrhythmias, post cardiac arrest and heart failure.
We work closely with the cardiac catheter suite where patients have procedures such as: heart stents, cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
We are a multidisciplinary team and are supported by a team of specialist cardiac nurses including: chest pain, heart failure, cardiac rehab and arrhythmia nurses.
The ward consists of 8 acute coronary care beds where we care for acutely unwell cardiac patients and can deliver an enhanced level of care including CPAP and inotropes.
We are a fast paced unit and admit patient’s daily from the emergency department and assessments unit. We're an established nursing team with a hardworking team dynamic that enjoy teaching.
