An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 3 HCSW to join the nursing team in the Elective Orthopaedic Ward at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). Applications are invited from enthusiastic experienced HCSWs. As part of a multidisciplinary team you will provide care to patients in support of the trained nurses and will regularly work unsupervised. You will support trained staff in the provision of direct patient care, recording of observations, use of IT systems and with housekeeping duties as required. You must have good organisation and communication skills with the ability to work within a team. Previous HCSW experience is essential and experience at band 3 in a relevant speciality is desirable. A Healthcare qualification would be an advantage. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership Hours are 37.5 hours per week full time, working a 12 hour shift pattern over day and night shifts, including weekend and public holiday cover.
