Prosperity Housing Group is recruiting for permanent HealthCare Assistants for a new supported accommodation. You will be accountable to the home Manager. The candidate must have knowledge and experience in working with adults with learning disabilities and have a level 3 qualification in Health and Social The post holder will be expected to participate in, and facilitate the various group activities in the home as part of the recovery programme. The role is to ensure that service users’ physical, personal, psychological, spiritual and cultural needs are met, whilst promoting personal and physical independence and choice in a recovery focussed environment.

There are various shift patterns available for a Healthcare Assistant which include:
- Days (8am –8pm) Weekend and weekday shifts
- Nights (8pm – 8am) · Weekend and weekday shifts
Duties include:
- Helping with the admission of new service users, including helping them to settle in, introducing them to other people and listing of their property and clothing.
- Provide high quality, responsive and person-centred services that meet the physical, mental and emotional needs of the service users and ensuring people have choice and control over their own lives.
- Ensuring that all service users records are accurately maintained.
- Promote independent living, confidence building, self-awareness, training, education, employment opportunities and participation in the local community.
- Enable service users to develop and implement their care plan needs and risk assessments.
- Communicate/consult with relatives, partners, advocates, friends or carers and other staff and agencies, as appropriate, regarding the residents health, social care and well-being.
- Promote resident involvement in shaping and monitoring services, so they have real choice and control over the service they receive.
- Assisting with personal care, (washing and bathing)
- Administration of medication

Candidate Requirements:
- Provide Clinical References
- Level 3 Health and Social Care or Degree
- Minimum 12 months paid UK professional experience in the social care sector
- Right to work in the UK
