Health Care Support Worker - Inverclyde Mental Health Inpatient Services

We are seeking to recruit Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) within Inverclyde Mental Health Inpatient Services.
We are inviting applications from candidates who have a desire to demonstrate and deliver compassionate caring behaviours to fulfil the key functions of the inpatient ward/department. Previous experience of caring for individuals with mental health problems/organic disorders is essential.
The successful candidates will be responsible for contributing to the care and support of patients within the inpatient mental health service. You will provide care and support as part of an agreed plan of care which involves the use of strength based recovery focused approach that proactively involves the person.
We are seeking applications from individuals who can demonstrate the ability to undertake duties without direct supervision working in partnership with our patients, carers and other professionals/ agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies, as well as participating in regular Nurse Line Management Supervision and Clinical Supervision.
It would be desirable if you were educated to, or actively working towards SVQ3 /SCQF level 6.
Please note these posts are Agenda for Change Band 3 full time (37.5hrs), fixed term for 12 months.
