Lane House Care Home - Night Care Assistant

Salary £11.00 per hour. 26.25 hours per week (WK1: 3 x 10.5 night shifts, WK2: 2 x 10.5 night shifts).

Exciting opportunities have arisen for Night Care Assistant to join Northgate Healthcare, a leading care provider based in Tamworth. The successful candidates will receive free mandatory training, free uniform, holiday entitlement and free onsite parking. Staff work a weekend on weekend off basis. The care Assistant will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the residents, enabling the individuals to achieve a lifestyle of their own choice.

Duties will include:

  • General support of residents in order to help individuals maintain or achieve independence.
  • Participate in the planning of care programs and preparation of care review discussions
  • All aspects of the physical care of residents, including where necessary, bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting etc.
  • Involvement in and promotion of emotional care of the residents
  • Involvement in the keyworker system
  • Accompanying residents on trips e.g. to hospital, outings, shopping, etc.
  • Other duties that may be required to promote the comfort, well- being and self-respect of the residents
  • Reporting any incidents of ill-treatment of a resident to the Manager
  • Promoting privacy, dignity and independence of all residents within the home
  • Attending training sessions and meetings that will assist with the development of care practices

The successful applicants will:

  • Be required to undergo a DBS clearance and reference checks.
  • Must have a caring nature and positive personality.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team.
