Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced, compassionate, Health Care Assistant , full time/permanent , approx. 60 hours, day shifts initially but role may require a mix of day and night so flexibility is imperative. This vacancy is for an immediate start. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a private home in London for a wonderful couple , no pets or children. The patient is female and is post Stroke , experience with Stroke patients is an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform duties dependant on patient requirements*
- Provide care with a positive, professional, compassionate, and discreet manner.
- Provide high-quality care and support to patient and the immediate family
- Work on a flexible basis as per the patient requirements*
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided if required*.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility*.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
*a brief of patient requirements will be provided to you for each role before you accept the position.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in HCA role , Band 2 or higher.
- Proficient in performing healthcare procedures following established protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Reliable and trustworthy – must hold valid DBS or equivalent.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centred approach to care.
- Right to work in the UK
