Forget Me Not Care and Support are looking for dedicated Healthcare Assistants to be part of our exceptional team. We are looking for experienced carers, and we will provide you with all the support and training that you need to develop your career in care. What dose your new Healthcare Assistant role look like:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of care, which is planned and assessed by Senior Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses by directly providing practical, physical, social, and emotional care. HCAs support all residents with sensitivity and respect for each individual’s needs and wishes, communicating with family, friends and other healthcare professionals on the resident’s behalf. Under instruction of the Team Leader/Nurse at the care home you are allocated to.
You must have your own transport, be in walking distance or use public transport to get you to the nominated place of work,
A day in the life of a Healthcare Assistant For Forget Me Not Care and Support:
- Provide and deliver a high standard of nursing, care (i.e. washing, mouth care, toileting, manual handling & mobility), recognising and meeting the specific needs of residents
- Support residents who may have a wide range of differing requirements and whose needs may range from companionship and domestic support to personal care
- Join and assist in hobbies or crafts, daily Wellbeing activities, entertainment and home events
- Write and maintain accurate records of care on a daily basis, maintaining fluid balance and dietary charts, recognising, recording and reporting all adverse findings to Nurses/Team Leaders/Allocated Lead.
- Support nutritional needs of residents by assisting with feeding and drinking, reporting on concerns about dietary intake to Nurses/Team Leaders/Allocated Lead
- Assist in the care of maintaining skin integrity over pressure points, recognising and reporting all adverse findings to nurses etc
- Communicate with family, friends and other healthcare professionals on the resident’s behalf if required (1-1) or refer to allocated lead

- Flexibility is required, the role will include working every other weekend
- You are available to work one, two or three 12 hours shifts per week
