Job description
- Assisting with all aspects of personal care including; washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals, whilst ensuring dignity and respect are maintained at all times
- Being flexible and able to cope with stressful situations
- Reporting any accidents, falls and incidents or anything out of the ordinary immediately to the management team of the care home or home care company.
- Promoting and upholding the privacy, dignity, rights, health and wellbeing of people who need care and support
- Working cooperatively with others to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality care and support
- Communicating in an effective way to promote wellbeing of people in need of care and support
- Respecting people’s right to confidentiality, protecting and upholding their privacy and dignity
- Working alone on occasions, both within the service and in the community, working to the organisation’s policy and procedures when working alone and reporting any changes that may affect the personal safety of yourself and others
- Working and cooperating with others to ensure effective communication with other care workers, management, friends and families and external professionals.
- Participating in and contributing to regular supervision and performance review meetings with line management and attend identified training
- Any other duties within the general scope of the post as directed by the Care Home or Home care Company.
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Salary: £10.50-£14.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Luton, Bedfordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
