Healthcare Assistant
Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing care and support to patients
- Help patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, changing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients
- Document patient observations and report any changes to the healthcare team
Skills:
- Compassionate and caring nature
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and empathy
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Note: Previous experience as a healthcare assistant or certification in a related field is required for this role.
