We are an NHS GP Surgery located in Finsbury Park, offering first class patient-centred primary care. Hours are 7:30am-3pm.
The HCA department is a vital part of the smooth running of our busy GP Practice and we are looking for a dynamic and flexible individual to support the team. This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking for further development within an innovative NHS environment.
The successful candidate must cover general practice HCA duties which would include being able to take and record procedures such as the following:
- Will be conducting urinalysis, venepuncture, wound management and ECG recording
- Flu (and other) vaccinations
- Various Health checks
- Helping with all other chronic condition monitoring and QOF indicators
- Undertaking wound management including removal of sutures/clips
- Clinical admin support

Essential: We are looking for candidates with experience in a general practice setting; with a professional attitude and proven skills in Health Care Assistance.
Beneficial: Previous experience with EMIS is desired but not essential.
Phlebotomy trained and clinical audit experience is a must. Assisting with procedures such as minor surgery and IUDs is desirable.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in health and social care
