Job description
Beverley House is a 24-bedded rehabilitation hospital for women over the age of 18, situated in the heart of the community in Birmingham.
Patients admitted to Beverley House may be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act with a primary diagnosis of mental illness and personality disorder with complex needs
We are looking for experienced Healthcare Worker's to Support our service users to attend and gain new experiences within their local community to aid in their recovery and to enable them to live independently once discharged from hospital.
Support and assist service users with personal care as identified in agreed care plans.
Act as a key-worker for a service user, with support from the RMN
Establish and maintain relationships with service users which will complement and contribute to the care programme and create a pleasant environment in which to live.
Contribute to the daily running of the hospital, e.g. shopping, cleaning and involving residents to the limits of their ability in all aspects of normal daily living.
Accompany residents on shopping trips and outings
Possess the ability to diffuse/resolve stressful situations with the use of effective communication skills

- Requirements:
- You will work on a rota basis, this will include nights
- Education to GCSE Standard or equivalent
- NVQ or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Previous experience of healthcare in a similar setting would be an advantage
