Job description

We are looking for competent and reliable carers.

You will be assisting in meeting the daily needs of patients in their own homes in Winchester, Eastleigh, Southampton Hampshire, and surrounding areas for the provision of physical and emotional care and working as part of a team to achieve the required standards. Responsible for the provision of personal and basic health care to clients, assisting them to gain confidence in the performance of their day-to-day self-care chores.

Duties:

CARE TASKS INCLUDE:

• To assist Clients in getting up in the morning and going to bed at night
• To assist Clients to wash, bath and shower
• To assist Clients to dress and undress
• To assist Clients to look after their skin, teeth, hair, and nails
• To assist Clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene
• To assist Clients with their medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their Medication Care Needs Assessment
• To prepare food and drink for the Client, being aware of the Client’s choice, likes/dislikes, nutritional needs, and cultural requirements
• To provide light general household domestic duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan or instructed by Management

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship

Salary: £10.10-£11.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• No weekends
• Weekend availability
• Weekends only

Experience:

• Home care: 1 year (required)

Language:

• English (required)

Licence/Certification:

• DBS (required)
• Care Certificate (required)
• Driving Licence (required)
