Tollesbury Ward is looking for a Health Care Assistants to join our friendly team within our recently relocated and refurbished ward. The new ward has reduced bed capacity which will allow a better focus on Gastroenterology with some general medicine.
With its new environment comes an exciting opportunity, working collaboratively with the all members of the team to develop the service further and concentrate on the main specialty. This role will be challenging and rewarding and is led and guided by the senior sister and there is also an Education Facilitator who supports the ward. They will all ensure you have the guidance and support to fulfil the role and help develop your career.
We would like someone with vision and enthusiasm to help take the service to the next level, but that also has an understanding of how change will affect the present team. Showing excellent patient care in an ever-changing NHS.
As a member of the Care Team, assist qualified staff in delivering a caring and effective, patient focused service in keeping with the aims, objectives and standards of the Trust
Assist with the maintenance of a safe care environment including preparing andclearing roomsand equipment with particular reference to infection control and safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff
Under guidance from qualified staff, sensitive and appropriate clinical care is delivered to meet individuals’ needs, respecting personal dignity and beliefs
Information is handled and exchanged with care, accuracy and sensitivity, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Effective communication is maintained within care team and between other care teams, patients, relatives and visitors
Escort patients/relatives/carers to and from other hospitals/trusts both within and outside the Trust headquarters
