We currently have posts available in our busy and constantly evolving Outpatients Department and are looking for enthusiastic and motivated support workers/ Healthcare Assistants to work in our Outpatients Department. We have 2 permanent post and 2 posts to cover maternity leave until the end of the year.
The Departments within Outpatients offer a full range of outpatient care to the patients of the Western Eye Hospital. The Western provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist ophthalmic facilities and is equipped with some of the most advanced diagnostic and technical equipment currently available.
The Western Eye Hospital forms part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in the heart of Paddington, an area which is set to become one of the capitals most attractive and vibrant centres.
In this role you will assist in providing the best possible care to patients with a wide range of ophthalmic conditions. You will have the opportunity to work in all the outpatient departments and there is scope to work in the other areas of the Hospital.
To join us in providing our patients with the best possible experience and care, you must have good written and verbal communication skills.
All shortlisted applicants will be required to attend literacy and numeracy assessment prior to interview. All successful applicants will be expected to achieve the care certificate within 12 weeks of appointment. This does not apply to candidates applying within the trust.
- To assist and support the registered nurse, under supervision, with the delivery of direct patient care, with the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery
