Peacock Medicare Ltd have been providing high quality care to older people for over 30 years in West Lothian and Elsie Inglis Nursing Home in Edinburgh is now open.
About Elsie Care Home
Elsie Inglis is set within the original Elsie Inglis Memorial Maternity Hospital (EIMHH), from which it now takes its name. The home is situated on the very edge of Holyrood Park, with panoramic views of Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags with private access to the many paths and features of the Royal Park.
The home is a completely new, fully refurbished entity, providing 49 premium rooms with full shower en-suites and includes everything associated with a modern, fully compliant care home.
Under new management the home is now open, and this is an excellent opportunity to join the team at the beginning of the new Elsie Inglis journey.
Current Opportunities
We have number of opportunities for experienced Healthcare Assistants as well as for individuals who are looking for a career change to join our team. We have vacancies on day shift with shift times are as follows:
Day shift: 0745hrs– 2000hrs
Full-time hours average 40.25 hours per week
Main roles and responsibilities
Your main role as a Care Assistant within our homes is to ensure the highest quality, person-centered, care is given to our residents in accordance with their care plans. You will assist our residents in all aspects of their care needs whilst maintaining their comfort and dignity and will assure our residents retain their right of choice and remain as independent as possible. No two days will be the same, whether you are assisting with personal care, helping at mealtimes, getting involved in resident activities and outings or just being a friendly face and a listening pair of ears over a cup of tea, your role will enhance the lives of the residents who live in our home.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will be dedicated to providing the best care and support to the residents in your care. You will be an effective communicator and work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Having your SVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care and previous experience in the care sector is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.
