Job description

Job Title: Healthcare Assistant at Edinburgh's 2023 Highest-Rated Care Home.

Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing care and support to patients
- Help patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician
- Assist in the collection of specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assist with patient transportation within the healthcare facility

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
