Job description
·To maintain stocks of examination instruments and specimen collection materials.
· To ensure couches are kept clean.
· To maintain vaccine stock levels and stock rotation as agreed with the Practice Nurses.
· To ensure that instruments and vaccines are stored appropriately.
· To perform ECG’s as required and action as stipulated in the practice protocol.
· To perform venepuncture for patients.
· To test urine samples using appropriate equipment and record as requested.
· To ensure that specimens brought in by patients or taken by doctors or nurses are ready for collection by the pathology service.
· To support the work of the Practice Nurses within dedicated clinics as required and document information as required.
· To assist in clinics run by associated practitioners, e.g., minor surgery clinic.
· To perform other clinical tasks as trained and agreed to meet the needs of the practice.
· To perform any other task within the skills and capabilities of the post holder.
· To assist the infection control lead infection control and ensure it is records.
· To perform Diabetic Pre Planning Appointments
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
