Health Care Assistant (HCA)
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic experienced HCA to join our friendly team of Nurses and HCA’s.
Christchurch Medical Practice has approximately 18,000 patients, we are situated in Christchurch, Dorset and work over 3 sites. We are a friendly and supportive practice and have a strong commitment to our patients and the professional development of our team.
Our nursing team provides an extensive range of high quality services and makes extensive use of IT systems and the latest in healthcare initiatives in order to provide a service that is second to none.
Interested applicants should be in possession of relevant formal qualifications and have demonstrable experience and competence in the role of a HCA, ideally with experience in General Practice and with essential skills in:
- Health Checks
- Ear examination
- Wound care
- ECG’s
- Assist with Minor Surgery
- Injections and vaccinations
- Treatment Room duties
- Assist with long term condition reviews following appropriate training
- Stock control and ordering
The ideal candidate will be in possession of NVQ level 3, although this is not essential. They should also be able to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 23 per week
Salary: £10.42-£10.81 per hour
