Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional), providing attention when needed, whilst ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity. Assisting Residents who have limited mobility, or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided, to ensure that they safely achieve their personal goals. Closely monitor Residents who may be confused and / or who may demonstrate behaviour that challenges to ensure the safety and welfare of themselves and others. Assist in the delivery of care for Residents who are dying or with a progressive illness to ensure a dignified End of Life. Ensure privacy and dignity is maintained for the dying and the bereaved, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures. Answer Nurse ‘Call System’, providing and / or obtaining assistance as required. Make and change beds and ensure that rooms are clean and tidy, and any bedroom equipment is kept clean to ensure a homely environment for the Resident. Answer the door and telephone appropriately, respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly to ensure a high standard of customer care. Ensure the Care Home’s resources are used appropriately to minimise waste and reduce risk. Accurately document care given and report concerns as necessary
Health & Safety
Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Resident, Colleague, self or another.

Part-time hours: 42 per week
Salary: £10.18-£10.42 per hour
