Health Care Assistant - Permanent 32.5 hours 2.30pm - 9.30pmMoor House School & College is an outstanding residential and day school for children and young people with significant speech, language and communication needs. Situated close to a mainline station with direct links to London, the school is located in a beautiful rural setting on the Kent and Surrey borders. Moor House provides a differentiated mainstream curriculum to students aged from 7 to 19.We are committed to supporting life / work balance and this role offers a work pattern to support life and personal commitments.Along with providing healthcare to all students, key duties and responsibilities include supporting the Healthcare Manager in the following areas:Administering medication, stock checking of medications, first aid, supporting students who are unwell, supporting students in the dining room assisting with dietary needs and allergies, supporting students to medical appointments, providing administrative support, working collaboratively with key group of staff, responding to calls and emails to staff, parents and other professionals involved in the students care such as consultants and CAMHS. Assisting cover with GP and vaccination clinics. Attending training courses for students who suffer from complex health issues.If you are child centred, suitably experienced with a friendly and flexible approach coupled with a commitment to develop your skills in a supportive environment then we would welcome your interest in this role.The postholder would be required to work occasional evenings.
