12 month fixed term/secondment opportunity
Would you like to join a dedicated team who are the first point of contact for the vulnerable people of Croydon? Can you retain information and also think outside of the box whilst under pressure?
If you are empathetic, understanding have a professional demeanour and love working with people then working in the Croydon Adult Support Team is for you.
Helping the right people with the right things at the right time is the team ethos. This involves developing innovative solutions for complex enquiries, providing excellent information advice and guidance and developing links and signposting to colleagues internally and in the voluntary sector.
We need someone who is able to respond to the demands of the service, is a great team player but who can also use their own initiative. In return we will provide support, training and development and the ability to work as flexibly as the demands of the service permit.
You will be required to answer the telephone and respond to electronic referrals as well as carrying out some experience in having difficult conversations would be an advantage
