Inclusive Recruitment Pilot
In keeping with Camden’s commitment to Conscious Inclusion, we are taking positive action to improve diversity at our senior levels. One of the measures we have committed to is making sure we don’t have any All-White shortlists for leadership roles.
The recruitment to this role will form part of that pilot, to support our desire to increase the number of staff from underrepresented groups in senior roles within the council. If you are a Black, Asian or Other Ethnic candidate and would like to self-declare this as part of our positive action commitments, please do so. For further information, please email the resourcing team at [email protected]
About us
Camden is building somewhere everyone can thrive, by making our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit. Because, we’re not just home to UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.
The North London Councils programme is hosted by Camden council and the Programme is set up by 5 North London Councils (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington). The main aims are to deliver programmes of work that address shared priorities in partnership and to promote a strong Local Authority presence within North Central London’s Integrated Care System (ICS).
The role
This is an exciting new role as the North Central London (NCL) Health and Social Care Academy Programme coordinator. You will be instrumental in setting up borough-based partnerships across the five boroughs and working closely with economic development teams to increase the number of residents getting into good work in the sector. You will be reporting on outcomes to the Greater London Authority and managing a small academy team who will support you and the outcomes which the Academy is aiming to achieve.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
About you
You will be experienced in managing a wide variety of stakeholders from different areas and encouraging partnership working for a mutual goal. You will have excellent coordination and organisation skills enabling you to work effectively across five diverse boroughs. Working as part of the overall workforce development agenda you will be an expert in understanding the sectoral needs and the importance of increasing the health and social care workforce.
