Health and Safety Officer | Hertford

Mode Lighting is a UK manufacturer of architectural, energy saving and commercial electronic lighting control solutions. We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer, with experience in a manufacturing environment, to join our management team based in Hertford.

Duties include:-

• Ensure the Company’s compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
• Manage, maintain and develop the Company’s Health and Safety systems and policy documents.
• Create, review and maintain risk assessments for employees, buildings, facilities, processes, equipment, and sub-contractors, including fire risk assessments.
• Ensure the Company’s compliance with COSHH and REACH Regulations.
• Assess and organise employee training and refreshers relating to health and safety, including, first aiders, fire wardens, manual handling, lifting equipment etc.
• Control the purchase, stock and issue of PPE as required.
• Maintain training records for all production staff.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of delivering health and safety and compliance services in a manufacturing environment. A full clean valid UK driving licence is essential and NEBOSH qualification an advantage.

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
