Ceramex Ltd is a leading and growing international supplier of technology and services for remanufacturing and cleaning Diesel Particulate Filters, primarily for heavy-duty diesel vehicles. The Reading facility fulfils our European operational requirements and provides a full reconditioning, new product development and testing service for our many OE clients. Ceramex is part of the global Hexadex group of companies.
This new role of Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the QHSE department, maintaining and updating the relevant documentation, assisting with undertaking the necessary assessments in partnership with the QHSE Manager ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Some of the duties are;
- Maintain and update relevant HSE systems, tools, legislation, HSE KPI`s, ISO Regs Portal Support QHSE Manager in developing and maintaining systems and procedures related to external and Group standards appropriate for the operations at Ceramex Ltd
- Inspire and challenge the workforce to deliver results and continuously stretch personal performance and skills.
- Challenges and supports all levels of manufacturing management in improving HSE management systems to ensure the business meets Group, National and local regulatory standards
- Investigate HSE concerns and make recommendations for resolution/improvements. Analyse Near Miss/Safety Concern data to drive improvements in site HSE performance
- Coaches/ mentors local site Team leaders/Operators to ensure that team are fully aware of their responsibilities and able to drive an HSE culture across the business
- Support QHSE Manager in Safety Alert process, Toolbox Process. Develop Site Safety communications and ensure effective deployment to the all areas, including monitoring communication completion sign-off and effectiveness of communication
- Tracking progress of incident/accident investigation process and action closure
- Support Risk Assessment, PUWER Assessment, COSHH, MAC Assessment activities through review, update and feedback
About you;
- accredited to National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- ISO14001 and ISO45001 knowledge desirable couple with know ledge of Auditing
- Operational experience, some of which must have been within the manufacturing environment.
