We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor, to be part of our Health & Safety Team within the estates and facilities department of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust
Accountable to the Director of Specialist Services you will be part of the Health & Safety Team working across Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust' premises, with this particular position being primarily based at Basildon Hospital.
You will work closely with all relevant parties within the hospital and externally to ensure a safe environment for all individuals accessing or supporting Trust Healthcare Service, and by extension sustained care and wellbeing in relation to health and safety.
Responsible for providing expert advice on health and safety matters across the MSE Care Organisations, you will assist in the development and delivery of health and safety training programmes carry out accident investigations and assist in policy development and implementation.
You will undertake health and safety inspections, audits and risks assessments and use your knowledge and skills to support the care organisations in understanding and fulfilling their health & safety responsibilities
In addition you will have substantive experience, experience within a healthcare setting would be an advantage, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with staff at all levels, possess minimum of the NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent and have up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation.
