Local Unit & Position Description
Carbon, capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) is critical to meeting the climate goals of companies and countries alike, yet today only one percent of CO2 emissions are captured. DNV - Energy Systems is looking for a Head of Venture: Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage/Sequestration (CCUS) to lead a team of experts. To focus our efforts on solutions that maximize value to our customers, Energy Systems formed this venture and is looking for an executive to lead the rapid and evolving market growth.
This position may be located in our Houston, TX, or London, UK offices. Other locations may be considered.Tasks May Include
- Leading commercial scaling and growth of the CCUS Venture
- Building and developing the CCUS team. Coaching team members to set and meet targets and related activities
- Driving CCUS initiatives in current and new markets, working with regional teams to ensure sales follow-up and service development, including development/improvement of recommended practices, consulting tools, and new business models
- Creating alignment across DNV on CCUS initiatives
- Continuously striving for new opportunities for improvement or expansion of added value
- Identifying and nurturing strategic customer relationships, discovering needs, quantifying how DNV can add value, and acting as a project sponsor on significant projects
Position Qualifications
What Is Required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CCUS
- Strong domain knowledge and consulting experience in CCUS or a related field
- Strategic and visionary
- Strong customer focus
- Growth and entrepreneurial mindset, with insights and the ability to clearly define customer needs that provide opportunities for growth
- Experience in setting and achieving ambitious financial KPIs
- Experience in scaling businesses or creating sustainable competitive advantage
- Persuasive and persistent
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
