The Head of Supply Chain within Engineering at British Airways is someone who is tenacious, customer delivery-focused and has a creative attitude. The global supply chain landscape is facing outstanding challenges, and the successful candidate needs excellent commercial and business acumen, has the ability to manage an array of internal and external collaborators, as well as inspiring and leading a large team to deliver outstanding service within BA Engineering and to the wider BA business.
The successful candidate will lead the planning, management, supply, distribution and logistics of engineering inventory for the BA fleet to ensure requirements are met whilst maintaining optimum use of investment in spares.
We are looking for:
- Leadership experience of working within logistics and supply chain environment, preferably within Aviation
- Leadership of people and organisational change in a major multinational corporation
- Experience in effective cross-company and cross-cultural working with different markets, customer groups and companies
- Supplier management skills with accountability for significant cost.
- Strategic and operational decision making
- Solid understanding of Civil Aviation regulations, Customs regulations, and Competition Law
An appropriate technical qualification (Engineering Apprenticeship/ Degree/ Masters level qualifications e.g. MBA or DMS) would be advantageous.
