The Head of Student Success is responsible for leading a culture of high-performance and continuous improvement across a portfolio which covers counselling and student well-being services; student advice and guidance on matters concerning university life; student achievement activities; careers advice and guidance; graduate outcomes; safeguarding and Prevent; support for students with disabilities and learning differences; reasonable adjustments; and welcome activities. Solent has a strong reputation for teaching excellence and providing the skills, experiences, and real-world learning that our students need to meet their future success, this role is pivotal in supporting our strategic priorities for Student Success beyond core academic activity.

Candidates will bring a deep understanding of the future direction of non-academic student services, particularly student wellbeing and mental health and support for student retention and progression, in a senior operational role in higher education or a related sector. You will be a developing and credible sector leader, keen to work with an ambitious new leadership team, focused on making Solent a sector leader in the provision of student-centered services.
