We’re looking for a senior operational leader to drive forward our direct labour organisation. You’ll have overall responsibility for c90 operatives and will be responsible for the delivery of responsive repairs, voids, an internal kitchen and bathroom programme and a caretaking and grounds maintenance team.
You’ll motivate, nurture and lead your team to ensure they achieve their full potential, and ensure we have a competent and talented workforce that can respond to the needs of the business and our customers. You’ll build in resilience and growth to the teams to ensure that we can provide a high level of service as the organisation expands. You'll drive forward performance, productivity, staff engagement, recruitment and talent management.
As a member of the Leadership team, you'll support the Executive Team and the Boards of mhs homes and its registered provider subsidiary, Heart of Medway Housing Association on the operational management of the organisation and its people with lead responsibility for your area. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you’ll have the ability to maintain a focus on the big picture as well as detail of the day to day delivery, budgets and quality assurance.
You’ll ensure the services delivered are fully compliant with Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices and will have a good understanding of building safety and compliance.
In 23/24 you’ll be responsible for an annual budget of circa £6 million to help you deliver the service. You’ll also have a talented team of dedicated asset professionals who will work with you to make everything happen.
