This role is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead the team responsible for the Channel Islands & Isle of Man (CIIOM) Savings growth trajectory with P&L accountability in the position of Head of Savings Products. The role reports directly into the Head of Liabilities and Transactional banking, Expat & CIIOM and will lead a team of onshore and offshore talent to deliver to the aggressive portfolio growth aspiration of the brand.
The role will define and deliver the strategic plan for Savings products business which delivers +$200m in revenue across multiple product lines – Instant Access, Term deposits and Fees across two brands, HSBC CIIOM and HSBC Expat. The job holder has responsibility for leading the development and distribution of these product ranges, overall portfolio management, delivering the annual growth plans, and developing and growing the digital fulfilment channel. In addition, they are required to grow the brand, reputation and capabilities of the propositional functions.
Leading a team of 2 individuals, the role holder is accountable for product development, portfolio management and pricing implementation, end-to-end customer journeys and lifecycle management, and risk and regulatory oversight.
In this role, you will:
- Design the five-year strategic plan and implementation strategy for Savings Products
- Responsibility for maximising revenue stream with strong margin and portfolio management and delivery of FRP.
- Partner to sensibly seek the expansion of risk appetite to profitably and safely grow the franchise including leading on ALCO discussions at a CIIOM and regional level.
- Develop overall Product and Marketing strategies for these products whilst supporting the streamlining of all customer journeys to increase market share and grow revenue.
- Understand, lead and control the complexity of managing several Regulators across multiple jurisdictions for multiple lines of business. Flexing policy and procedure where appropriate to ensure HSBC comply with local country requirements, as well as
