We are looking for a Head of QHSE with energy, drive, and passion. You will deliver a comprehensive QHSE service across the business, with a particular focus on Health & Safety, and will have accountability for the UK ISO 9001/14001/45000 and ISO/IEC 17000 audit programmes.
You will need to be a strong people manager and be able to create solid stakeholder relationships, to drive continuous improvement and foster a positive QHSE culture across the UK business, which in turn could lead to a broader QHSE remit in future.
The role will ideally be based in the Midlands or Manchester, however we are open to applications from other locations. There will be expectation for some travel as part of the role.

Role Purpose
- Deliver a comprehensive QHSE advisory and guidance service for the company across all parts of its operation.
- Responsible for the development of the health, safety, environment and quality annual programmes; ensure engagement and implementation through the business with appropriate monitoring versus the programme and business challenges.
- Ensure that the Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Management Systems are maintained and continually improved.
- Maintain UKAS accreditation programme
- Accountable for the UK ISO 9001/14001/45000 and ISO/IEC 17000 series Compliance Audit Programme, including ensuring appropriate resources and closure of actions.
- Drive continual improvement and empower Business Unit employees at all levels to reduce risk and foster a positive QHSE culture at all levels while ensuring that potential impartiality and conflicts of interest are independently managed.
- Effective leadership and management of the QHSE Team members.
