This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Guildford or Coventry, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you will do:
Working closely alongside the VP Product and wider Product Development and Commercial teams, the Head of Product Management is responsible for product definition, product marketing and product lifecycle management for all Forseven vehicle programmes. This includes leading the attribute positioning and target setting process, development of product requirements and feature assumptions which support the product positioning and target customer needs, leading the production definition process including development of robust change management processes, plus development of the product go-to-market launch strategy, including development of key strategic marketing messages and technical product detail.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the target customer, including ensuring the ‘voice of the customer' is heard in all product development activities.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the core and adjacent competitor offerings.
- Translate the product positioning into key USPs and Why-Buys.
- Lead product attribute/content planning and trade off management; targeting best product fit for customer / brand / financials.
- Ownership and development of the product assumptions, including Variant and Body style strategy, Feature List, Customer Offer and Colour & Trim Strategy.
- Development of the Accessories, Personalisation and Refresh strategy.
- Together with Product Pricing, develop price and take rate assumptions to feed the business cases for all Trims, Options & Accessories.
- Product marketing – development of strategic marketing messages and technical product detail to support the product launch.
We would like you to have:
- Qualification (degree or higher) ideally in Engineering, Product Design, Business or
- Marketing.
- 15+ years post qualification experience in Product, Strategy, Design, Engineering or
- Marketing, ideally with an automotive OEM HQ.
- Experience managing, leading and developing a team of direct reports.
- Pan-European or global experience essential.
- Proven experience working as a Product Manager in a non-managerial role.
- Proven ability of working cross-functionally as part of an OEM product development
- programme.
- Managed substantial budgets; experience co-ordinating agencies to successfully complete multiple projects.
- Experience in new mobility, electrification and circular economies is an advantage.
