We have an opportunity for an inspirational and influential leader to join our Revenue Management Leadership Team. If you understand how technology can be used in the airline ecosystem and you've got the vision and inspiration to drive positive improvements then we'd like to hear from you.

In this role, you'll develop and lead initiatives to transform how we deliver commercial products, price and inventory to our customers through multi-channel solutions and maintain their integrity through the selling and servicing experience. The post is pivotal in building and inspiring change that exploits emerging industry trends. To be successful, you'll be confident and capable in developing the case for, and leading a team through, business change.

About the role

  • Drives strong cross-directorate collaboration to ensure commercial product integrity is maintained across all channels
  • Supports cross-commercial selling and servicing to deliver seamless and automated experiences for colleagues and customers
  • Influences the development of BA’s new Offer and Order Management (OOM) Platform and leads the associated business change
  • Continually reviews strategic developments with our oneworld and joint business partners and identifies collaboration opportunities.
  • Negotiates and monitors performance of our commercial agreements with other airlines and transport providers
  • Influences Operations and Network Planning teams in cancellation decisions to minimise revenue loss and to provide best in class solutions for disrupted customers
  • Actively seeks to reduce revenue loss caused by abuse or sub-optimal inventory use, providing consultancy on associated financial or legal consequences
  • Provides cross-team business management to support the Head of Revenue Management in coordinating and delivering people and business change

About you

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills up to Director Level
  • Strong leadership and collaborative skills with the ability to objectively listen to other’s ideas, insight and consider alternatives, readily accept and encourage challenge
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Proven track record of planning and achieving change including prioritisation and delivery of business programmes
  • Exposure to technology usage in the Airline ecosystem
  • Education to degree level and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working with IT providers (desirable)
