Our exciting job role!

We’re looking for an experienced fundraising leader who can develop, drive and deliver a high-growth strategic approach to our corporate partnerships and major giving fundraising streams on a global scale,
This role is full time - 37.5 hours, with some out of hours working. While contracted to our office in Fleet, Hampshire, our team supports a blend of office and home working provided you have adequate broadband and IT capability, with an average of 2-3 days in the office each week.

Key accountabilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop the Corporate Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations and Major Giving teams to bring out the best in everyone
  • Play an active role as part of the wider leadership team that forms the link between the Senior Leadership team and the rest of The Charity to enable decision-making, advocacy and representation
  • Negotiate with all stakeholders, partners and major donors to maximize long-term commitments for The Charity
  • Drive strategic plans and global proposition for corporate partnerships, Trusts & Foundations and major giving, working in close collaboration with your team and other Heads
  • Develop and implement our international expansion plans to align with and support our organisational strategy
  • Identify and deliver corporate partnership growth plans, to develop commercial partnerships, gift-in-kind and pro-bono support to further the objectives of The Charity
  • Manage your own portfolio of key major donors and trusts and be involved in the most significant opportunities for new partnerships, with high-net-worth individuals, foundations and companies
  • Own and manage team fundraising goals, targets and KPIs
  • Successfully drive and grow key corporate partnerships, Trusts & Foundations and philanthropic relationships
  • Enable and expand in-kind and pro bono corporate giving
  • Ensure the day-to-day facilitation of strategic plan delivery, managing spend, income and reporting
  • Develop, oversee and be accountable for the Philanthropy and Partnerships budget to deliver on goals
  • Ensure that at all times legal and charity regulatory requirements, due diligence and best practice are adhered to and exemplified by yourself
  • Ensure that all gifts and partnerships meet our ethical policy and due diligence criteria both within the UK and internationally
  • Ensure that all international gifts are processed in accordance with international laws
  • Provide full operational and financial reporting to support wider monitoring, evaluation and governance. Build and sustain culture of data integrity and use actionable insights to support strategic growth

What we'd like from you:

We’d like you to have exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and diplomacy skills and are very comfortable representing The Charity in a range of situations to a range of people. You’ll have an insatiable eye for commercial opportunities and philanthropy alongside the desire for collaboration, you have the ability to spot links and trends, plus the energy and determination to act on them.
You’ll have an exceptional track record of developing and delivering collaborative strategic plans with an analytical mind that is financially and commercially astute and an outstanding track record of developing and delivering new business strategies and global donor development plans with the flexibility to know when to adapt and innovate.
